Route
By car
| We describe the route from Paris: After Paris follow the A10 towards Bordeaux. Just before Orleans take the A71 to Limoges. After approx. 80 km (just before Vierzon) take the A20 towards Limoges/Toulouse. After Limoges continue on the A20 towards Toulouse until after exit no. 49. There you take the A89 towards Bordeaux and Périgueux (péage). This motorway is new. Take exit 13 Bergerac/Mussidan (after about one hour). Drive to Bergerac, and then follow the signs “toutes directions” and follow the N21 to Agen. As you leave the Dordogne valley via the N21, follow the D14 to Issigeac. Continue on the D14, which turns into the D207, towards Villeréal. In Villeréal follow the Boulevard counterclockwise round the town. At the (only) traffic lights (flashing amber) turn left towards Devillac, now follow the signs to “Les Ormes” and then the sign “Chalets”. After about 500 metres you will reach Chalets les Ormes. “You have arrived at your destination.” Bonne voyage! |
By train
Of course you can also elect for a comfortable journey by train (Thalys or TGV). We recommend you make your reservations well in advance.
By plane
You can fly into Bergerac airport from several cities in the UK, and also from Amsterdam or Brussels. At the airport Avis, Hertz and Europcar all have branches where you can hire a car. When you leave the airport turn left onto the N21 and follow the route described above from the Dordogne valley.
